The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency said it can be alarmed about the substantial quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach sassa status Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area daily. The service stage designed for intervention activities a superior inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it sassa status tough for your office to attend to all people who go to a service point.
“In sassa this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to allow the servicing of all consumers and boost entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
